The mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, said today that it is "extremely important" to know the house and also defended the need to organize and plan the functioning of the municipality.
Amândio Brito, who was speaking to Inforpress on the sidelines of the meeting held this morning with the heads of each sector of the institution, said that the current council team is made up of five elements, in addition to a group of people who work there and are employees of various departments of the municipality.
In this sense, the same source stressed that there should be a combination of officials who have just arrived and those who have always been at the house.
"There has to be articulation between the officials and the prospect of getting to know how each department of the council works, because we want to know the modus operandi of the structures of the departments and also get to know their difficulties and challenges," he stressed.
According to the president, the aim of this new municipal team is to ensure that the employees are well motivated and committed to the cause of serving the island and its residents well, bearing in mind that the institution is the face of the municipality.
"We want the municipality to be the face that gives prestige and dignity to the island and for this to happen it is necessary for the employees to assume and commit to the process of serving the people of Brava well," he said.
The mayor also pointed out that his first few days in charge of the city council have been very interesting, and today he has completed 31 working days, which, he said, have been very enriching.
He then assured that day after day the team has been learning and progressing, since it is likely that in the near future, with more work, the council will be able to respond to what it has proposed to the municipality.
"This type of meeting is going to be a regular occurrence in this municipality and we realize that the employees are motivated enough to serve the citizens and this meeting allows us to learn more about the problems of the council and also to understand when we should work to make the island better," he concluded.
